Recycling Vendor Qualification Standards

After a rigorous environmental audit and assessment process, SARCAN and E-Cycle Solutions have been selected as the primary vendors to provide recycling services for the designated end-of-life electronics collected under the Saskatchewan Waste Electronic Equipment Program in Saskatchewan.

Drop-off locations prepare the end-of-life electronics for transportation to a consolidation facility in Saskatchewan where the electronics are sorted and shipped to approved and audited recyclers. All recyclers are required to follow Electronics Product Stewardship Canada’s (EPSC) Recycling Vendor Qualification Standard that ensures all electronics are recycled responsibly.

In addition to these primary recyclers, all of their downstream processors are also subject to the rigorous Recycling Vendor Qualification Program to ensure the highest levels of adherence to environmental, occupational health and safety, export and other standards.
