Reuse Program & Auditor REOI

Reuse & Refurbishment Program

SWEEP's Electronics Reuse and Refurbishing Program (ERRP) is designed to foster responsible environmental, safety and social management practices related to the reuse and refurbishing of electronics, providing donors with a level of assurance that products reused through an organization recognized under this program are handled in a responsible manner, thus facilitating the extended use of electronic products before their disposition into an end-of-life recycling program.

There is no deadline on submission to the REOI, however, SWEEP may choose to withdraw the REOI at anytime.

Submissions to the REOI may be made via email to:

Audit services are on an as-needed basis - when a reuse/refurbishing organization applies to SWEEP.

The EERP audit does not entail a full regulatory compliance audit but rather it will be used to determine if the reuse/refurbishing organization has an adequate process to identify their applicable regulatory requirements and if suitable controls have been implemented for those items to ensure compliance.

The Auditor will be responsible for conducting the audit and verifying the completion of corrective/preventive action plans to close out any non-conformances with the auditee.  Non-response from an auditee would result in a closure of the audit report so reports will not remain open for an extended period of time.

The program approved Audit Report Form is the only report required by the program - no other formal written report from the Auditor is required.

Approved Auditors may be provided a contract for up to 3 years.
